Hiring a removalist who cares about the community means you can feel better about moving house and give back to your existing and new local communities. Many removalists now offer rubbish removal services and recycling services which benefit the local environment, however, Grace go a step further.
Recycling and reusing packaging materials
Removalists are able to recycle the packing materials they use; the question is whether they choose to or not. At Grace, we recycle as much as possible in each of our divisions. Our removal packing materials are reused where possible and recycled where it’s not possible. Any rubbish that cannot be recycled or reused is taken to the tip and disposed of properly.
Helping Australians in need
Moving house is one of the few times you are forced to sort through your things. At Grace, we noticed a lot of good quality items were thrown into rubbish by people moving out of home. As a result, we teamed up with the St Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies) to rehouse these unwanted items and help Australians in need. When moving with Grace, we supply ‘move house, make a difference’ cartons which you fill with good quality items you no longer need or want. We’ll come and collect them and take them to your local Vinnies on your behalf.
Helping local charities in Australia and New Zealand
At Grace, we support local communities and charities in Australia and New Zealand with an annual grant scheme. Each year we award five deserving charities in Australia and six deserving charities in New Zealand with a grant. These grants help community groups continue to help their local community. This is an important initiative we continue annually. Each year we receive thousands of public votes, proving just how valuable this initiative is.
