Challenge2000 encourages rangitahi (youths) to step outside the usual lens of their local communities and be inspired by the opportunities that await them. And as a community-based charity they are always looking for opportunities to create experiences that will open the minds of young people and prepare them for leadership.
If we were successful in obtaining a grant from Grace Gives, we would put the money toward funding a five day Youth Pilgrimage to Taupo.
The Grace Gives grant will be used to fund a trip for a small group of young people and the respective accompanying staff members during the Term 4 school break this year, 2019. The ‘pilgrimage’ will ‘help the young person/s realise their full potential, especially in leadership. They will learn skills which they can take into Year 13 School Leadership roles’.
